Start with your neighborhood
Bucktown Golf Club sits at 2309 N Damen Ave, half a block south of Fullerton. That puts a private Trackman bay within about fifteen minutes of most of the North and West Sides. We wrote a page for each neighborhood with the exact route by car, bike, and CTA:
- Wicker Park: under a mile, straight up Damen
- Logan Square: one bus down Fullerton or a ride on the 606
- Lincoln Park: the #74 Fullerton bus west, about 15 minutes
- Ukrainian Village and West Town: north on Damen or a few Blue Line stops
- Lakeview: about 15 minutes by car
- Old Town: west on North Ave or Armitage
- River West and Fulton Market / West Loop: up the Blue Line or the Milwaukee bike lane
Then check what's actually in the bay
"Golf simulator" covers everything from a tour-grade launch monitor to a camera that guesses. Before you book anywhere, ask three questions.
- Which launch monitor? Trackman measures ball speed, launch, spin, carry, and club data. It's what tour players and coaches use. If the club won't say what's in the bay, that's your answer.
- Is the bay private? A private room means your hour is yours. A shared floor means you're sharing it with whoever else is there.
- What does an hour cost, and what does a month cost? Hourly bays are fine for a one-off. If you'll go twice a month or more, a membership is usually the cheaper way in.
Hourly or membership?
Do the math on how often you'll actually go. Bucktown Golf Club offers both. Non-members book a private bay by the hour with a guest account and a signed waiver. Members pay $150 a month for online booking, one 60-minute session per day, and they bring guests for free. No initiation fee, no contract.
Most people book an hour as a guest first, then join. That's the order we'd suggest.

How to book a bay near you
- Guests: create a guest account, sign the waiver, pick a room and a time, and complete Stripe checkout. You'll get an email confirmation immediately. Cancellations at least 2 hours before your start time are eligible for a refund reviewed by the club.
- Members: log in, open the calendar, pick a date, room, and time. Cancel free any time before your start.
- Not sure yet: schedule a tour. Most members toured first.
